Tonight at 8pm, Cornelia celebrates the release of a new album from Kaiku. Finnish natives Jaana and Paula of the world music ensemble are celebrating the release of their second album Usva. The album features contemporary vocal pop sounds, captivating rhythms and a mix of Finnish and English lyrics. Tones invoke easy listening with breezy vocal harmonies supported by eclectic instrumentation. In the New York Sun, Nina Roberts says: “The constants in their music are minor key harmonies, both gorgeous and melancholic. The sublime harmonies glide, dip, soar and seamlessly mix with the rhythms of the unlikely grouping of instruments.” Just $10.
